Oregon Emergency Management Association Annual Conference

  • Wildhorse Resort & Casino 46510 Wildhorse Boulevard Pendleton, Oregon, 97801 United States (map)

For the first time, the Oregon Emergency Management Association's Annual Conference will include a Cybersecurity Hazard, Readiness, and Case Studies track. For this track, OCCoE is partnering with the Oregon Department of Emergency Management and Enterprise Information Services to host an experiential learning session for Emergency Managers on October 8th to workshop their own response steps needed to support their communities after a major cyber-attack. Participants will also network with other regional partners to help build connections and coordinated response plans in such events, including identifying key public information and warning actions required immediately following the event. Emergency Managers will leave the session with more resources, contact lists, and actions steps for making sure they are as well prepared for cyber incident response as any other emergency.

Why Attend?

  • Networking: The annual OEMA Conference offers emergency management professionals the opportunity to meet with governmental and non-governmental peers in both formal and informal settings.

  • Professional Development: Learn about how emergency management peers are approaching the working of advocacy, cybersecurity, and public information and warning. Take these lessons learned back to your day-to-day work!

  • Celebrate the Past Year of Work: Celebrate the work we have accomplished and the work our peers have accomplished through attending their sessions, attending the banquet to recognize specific peers through the OEMA Annual Award Ceremony, and take a breath together as a community in a more educational environment.
